Without an intensive training program, we could not offer our customers the highly skilled professionals that industry has come to expect from the team at IES. Within this diverse and proactive company, we continue to innovate with new tools and equipment that we engineer, design and manufacture. The well stimulation industry has seen advancements in treating technologies, equipment size and capabilities. Industry and IES have fully embraced the need for streamlined efficiencies in order to offer the maximum return to the customer in the safest way possible. These goals are achieved through the training programs that allows our highly skilled technicians to execute every aspect of their job to perfection and always within safety standards. It is well known that fully trained personnel perform their job much safer without endangering their fellow workers.

Isolation Equipment Services prides itself on the top-quality professional technicians that perform to the highest level. We identify talent during the hiring process and the training begins on day one of employment and never ceases. As an IES employee, specific training to perform job duties is a process that continues throughout an employee’s working career. With the standardized petroleum industry safety training achieved, workers then begin the process of specific training to perform well stimulation activities. Employees at IES start as a level 1 Junior Technician and with extensive hands on training, classroom exposure and mentorship, the employee will achieve a level 3 Senior Technician designation. Throughout the training process the employee is assessed and signed off by the Field Training supervisor, Job Coordinating Manager, District Operations Manager, Safety Manager and the President of the company. Isolation Equipment Services believes in professional development for all workers and as a result, IES offers professional development to all levels of workers across all divisions.

  • IES has an excellent working relationship with Alberta Industry Training (AIT) and offers apprentice programs for: Millwright, Heavy duty mechanics, Automotive mechanics and Crane operators. IES has journeyman level employees in each of these trades.
  • IES operates an in-house Temporary Line Restraint training program that complies with WorkSafeBC regulation 23.69.
  • IES offers professional 3rd party driver training for class 3 and class 1 drivers.
  • IES requires that all equipment operators are fully trained with valid tickets before operating any piece of equipment. IES provides this training.
  • IES has an Equipment Quality control and NDT inspection division that is fully trained with courses through IDL Inspection Ltd.
