We have continued to improve, innovate, invest and add to our inventory as our commitment to fulfill your needs. The added inventory reduces the stress of the last minute rush to assemble and risk a shortfall. Our equipment and highly skilled personnel have been tested on numerous occasions and we delivered every time. It has been a pleasure working together and serving you for the past eighteen (18) years, thank you for the opportunity.
Our Technology
Multi-Well Completions Manifold System
The innovative Multi-Well Completions Manifold has proven to be a success to many of our clients. This manifold is specially designed to reduce velocity and erosion to all pressure components. Frac fluids are delivered to the frac tree buffalo head by the unique IES flanged swivel standing iron connected to opposing inlets that allows the frac fluids to meet fluid on fluid. The fluids are diffused and gently transition into the specially designed T block and exits without creating turbulence or erosion as it continues onward down the frachead.
The high flow Flanged Swivels have proven to have significant advantages over the solid harsh angle units presently in the market. The innovative design is quick to install, versatile, designed to curb erosion even at extreme rates and promote reliability. The swivels provide quick rig in and adjust for elevation changes thus providing full freedom to the frac tree connections. To date, IES has supplied manifold equipment for over 800+ pad wells all with excellent results, including negligible erosion damage. We presently have the capacity to supply up to thirty-six (36) pad wells at one time, including 600 feet of piping to connect pad-to-pad when required.
Satellite (Dart) Launcher
IES plans to introduce the new innovative dart launcher early in 2023. It will have the capacity to load up to twenty-six (26) darts at one time. Amongst many other features each dart is encased and stored in a protective double walled thermal capsule that insulates it from extreme outside sub temperatures and moisture. It is a high tech unit which includes a triple check confirmation of travel of the carrier to the well bore launching each individual dart.
Remote Grease Unit
IES has completed the manufacture of thirty (30) remote grease unit systems. The remote grease systems have been extremely well received by our clientele. All greasing is completed from a safe distance and ensures personnel never having to enter the hot zone areas. The IES grease unit is sleek, state of art, and includes separate manifold stations dedicated to each leg.
Screened Buffalo Heads
The slotted screens are being used in the multi-port buffalo heads to trap debris on packer ball and plug and perf stimulations. The results have been outstanding (refer to our debris case study); we have quite the collection that includes multi size rocks, pump parts and even a certification band that did not go down hole. This has our client’s smiling and confident that unintentional pieces are not working their way down hole that can seriously compromise downhole equipment and even create a premature screen out. The result is much fewer screen outs, downhole tools work more efficiently, reduces the coil costs which all positively reflect in your costs to complete the wells. The savings are very difficult to put a dollar amount but having a disruption due to debris and managing erosion are substantial.
Our Debris Screens SAVE stages.
At IES we pride ourselves in being in the forefront of embracing problems, doing our research and engineering and offering solutions. This partnership has proven to save our clients substantial dollars in the past.
Bottom line is, if there is a safer and/or better way, no matter what the cost, we make the changes.
Our highly technical full support staff including, the best safety team in the industry, has set the bar in regards to efficient and safe field working practices and performance.
We continue to provide additional specialty equipment designed specifically for horizontal completions, which have proven to work safely, efficiently and very cost effective to the benefit our clientele. The XL5 ball launcher has proven to be the marvel of the industry; we have over thirty (30+) units currently in operation and are proud to share with you that we have launched over 1,000,000 packer balls and completed in excess of 25,000 launching jobs which has provided us with valuable experience allowing IES to fine-tune our operations in delivering 100% to your expectations. We understand the huge cost of fracture stimulations and the importance of doing our part to ensure all goes smoothly, safely and efficiently.
Cost Efficiency
This is a unique industry, to provide the caliber of service that IES is committed to; this involves a large specialty trained highly technical labor force which consequently results in enormous labor costs. We attract a labor force that includes ex rig managers, frac supervisors, coil tubing supervisors etc. In order to secure these highly sought after personnel, IES does pay a premium including participation in a year-end profit sharing program. IES continues to diversify into more specialized wellhead equipment that is focused on horizontal completions. Diversification increases labor utilization by effectively maximizing our employee’s time. Rather than being available on standby for one or two particular services, his time can be better utilized to provide several services.
Rather than buying into “if it ain’t broke why fix it”, we continue to develop innovative equipment, unique engineered design and concepts to manage erosion that saves our clients money. One example is our patented Debris Screen Technology has reduced erosion to the surface equipment including the entire Wellhead array.
Strategy
IES has strategically compiled an assortment of highly experienced personnel including our Engineer who has over 40 years experience in our specialized industry. All senior personnel including the president, vice president and fabricating management are involved and committed on a daily basis continually striving to improve our equipment, procedures, policies, safety program and service.
From our onset we have and continue to demonstrate that we do embrace change; if there is a better and safer piece of equipment, method or procedure we react with speed and go through the process of incorporating it.
We have specific senior personnel (Quality and Technical Support Manager) in our location’s that work directly with our technicians who monitor and grade their performance. They also work in partnership with your field representatives constantly communicating the quality of our equipment, service, and safety program and if there are ways to improve upon. All personnel are involved in the annual profit sharing and their compensation is based on and directly reflects their outstanding performance. Additionally our safety personnel also work with our technicians on and off the well site continually monitoring their performance and providing their support.
To further progress our training program from a technical side – eight (8) years ago we initiated a further enhanced training program by selecting three of our best senior technicians and promoting them to Field Training Superintendents. Their responsibility is to travel from site-to-site and ensure that all our technicians are performing their duties in full compliance with IES and our client’s policies.
Quality Control
The stimulation industry is a high risk business and even though the jobs do become repetitive we address each job with the utmost focus and dedication. IES designs and engineers its equipment with a high degree of safety factor. Consequently our equipment has proven to sustain the unexpected like a sudden over pressuring during a pressure test or stimulation treatment. Our independent Engineering firm possesses over 40 years directly in this specialized industry. We employ several Quality Control personnel who work hand in hand with our operations closely monitoring the equipment and ensuring that our policies and procedures including our regimented preventive maintenance program are strictly adhered to. All our management plays a direct role in all aspects of the operations and fully supports our safety program.
All equipment is thoroughly inspected, repaired and recertified to API specification. Every component is assigned an IES tracking number that provides vital history.
All the IES equipment is engineered and manufactured to API specification.
Our Commitment

Our standing with the Department of Transportation has never been better in fact they use IES as a positive example to others.
Safety and exceptional compliance provides significant savings to our clients as they positively affect efficiency and our ability to execute every job to perfection. It is well known downtime due to equipment or personnel deficiencies do cost the oil companies significant dollars.
Equipment
IES has demonstrated leadership in providing unique equipment to the industry that has vastly improved job efficiency and reduced your well costs. We have worked hand in hand with a multitude of oil companies in fulfilling all their requirements for specialized equipment such as:
- Isolation Tools
- Coil Headers
- Packer Ball Catchers
- Remote Control Valves
- High rate Buffalo Heads
- Fracheads
- Dry Launch System
- Zipper Manifolds
- Wellhead DSA system
- And the proven and reliable XL5 Ball Launcher.
We expanded the ball capacity of the XL5 to the XL17 and XL21 that allows up to 21 balls to be loaded and deployed without reloading. We can also stack to accommodate the increased stages to 40+. We also have the capacity to deploy balls as large as 4.75 inches.
Another improvement is the “screened deflector” Coil Header that eliminates the need to use the main deflector. The advantage is that the frachead maintains “full bore” which does not obstruct the downhole equipment as it passes. Additionally the screens contain and prevent undesirable debris from being pumped down hole that have been known to compromise the mechanism of the packers like the mongoose system. The screened units have been tested at rates up to 16.5 M3/min without a problem.
We have ten (10) self-contained Grease Trailers fully which provide valve lubrication on site and torque units upon request. These units also supply grease to the new remote controlled grease system stations, they have been very well received by the OSR’s and proven to be very safe, efficient and cost saving to our clients. Our torque units will also have chart confirmation for each nut and bolt.
The Pressure Pumpers have proven their worth job after job, we presently have ten units completed, 4 trailer and 6 skid mounts. These units are capable of pressure testing the frachead assembly bottom up on location, hold pressure on the annulus and also provide equalizing pressure and packer ball displacement for our ball launchers.
The IES management and technical staff continually strive to live up to our motto:
“Service has been redefined.”
This is reflected in our sensitivity to price without compromising safety, quality and service.
